Indianapolis Newborn Photographer | Baby Halle

Catching up on blogs for my newborn sessions that took place in August! There was totally a baby boom for Indianapolis Newborn Photographers! Miss Halle was just one of the many sweet babies that came to my Indianapolis Newborn Studio.

Check out this adorable tiny papasan chair! Her mama went GAGA for it and picked every single photo I took in that chair. Also - Halle was a frank breech baby and her little legs just had a mind of their own the entire session!

Parents with Newborns - get in those photos!

I seriously can't stress enough for newborn parents to get in the photos with their baby! I missed out on this opportunity with my daughter - and regret it so much. Trust me - you will want these photos later on! Posing baby with their parents really show how little they once were and we all know how fast they can grow.

Look at how sweet these parents are with their little baby girl!

Froggy Pose

Froggy Pose is one of my absolute favorite poses to do during a newborn session - and is highly requested by parents! I attempt it with all babies - some babies do great in this pose and others are little trickier. I want to take a moment to chat about this pose though. Newborn safety during my sessions is my biggest priority. I want to get all those cute poses for you - but I also want to keep your little one safe. Froggy pose is an advance posing technique that newborn photographers learn. It took me years of studying it before I was even ready to try it. Did you know that baby is never left like that by themselves? There is always a hand on baby and I take two photos and combine them in photoshop to give the illusion that they are supporting themselves like that. With the help of parents, there is always a hand on baby. A parent supports baby's head and I support them at the wrists. We take turns with supporting each area for two photos and then I combine them together. If your photographer ever tries this pose without supporting baby for the photos and doesn't do it as a composite - run! It is not safe to do it that way.
